Former Chief Judge for the Lummi, Upper Skagit, and Nooksack courts, and former Whatcom County Superior Court Judge, appointed to the Washington Supreme Court and took office on January 6 as the first enrolled tribal member and second Native American person to sit on any state Supreme Court
